Standing in a commanding position, Hopton Court is a Grade II listed Georgian House and has been in the Woodward family for six generations.

Built in 1770 for Joseph Oldham, proprietor of the local paper mill, it was transformed in 1811 for Thomas Botfield who employed John Nash to enhance the character of the house as a classical villa.  Nash made a number of changes to the house, not least adding a third storey which is now the Apartment.

This self-contained Apartment has fabulous views reaching over elegant parkland, pretty fields, an outstanding picturesque landscaped garden by Humphry Repton, with the Clee Hill in the distance.
